| Newbie | My friends and I were discussing how it seems for many couples... it is the man's irresponsibility that leads to their girlfriends getting pregnant. It was a touchy subject but I think it would be a good to see what you all have to say about it. IMHO I feel like both parties are at fault. |

And sometimes a pregnancy might even be planned. If it's planned on part of the woman only and she's telling her boyfriend, she's on birth control, I'd say it's more the fault of the woman though. Even more so, when the child is not his. |

Watching a young woman dedicate herself to having a baby to avoid feeling alone is such an overpoweringly helpless feeling. Most woman who have children at a young age understand but don't realize what pregnancy entails, and what it means for the people involved. |

Or at least update the education system to include Parenting. You're not to operate a car without practice or a written test. If one wants to know how to operate a computer, you take classes, right? Besides the course where the sex educator puts a condom on the banana, BOTH parties should have some idea what to expect, know the responsibilities that will come, etc. Not to say that classes and books will prepare you 100%, but it'll give you something to use so it doesn't become so overbearing. Because it's so easy to just put a condom on and start riding, its irresponsible on both persons to think just a raincoat will is all you need to prevent a pregnancy. A friend of mine wanted a baby because she was 30 and "her clock was ticking", another bad reason to want to get pregnant. Now her fiance left her and she's stuck with a baby, living paycheck to paycheck. It sucks, but people never really think things through, they let their emotions make the decisions. P.S. I Love you. ![]() Last edited by Jim Halpert; 07-01-2008 at 01:48 AM.. | |
