So tonight I called my Mother in Law again to thank her for my Christmas Sweater and asked if she wanted to come for New Years. She told me her electric bill was very high and from now on she will not be able to give me a Christmas , or birthday gift any longer. Only her Son and family . I said ..I hear ya the prices of elec. heat are really high and nuff said.
Its times like this I wish my MOM were here. (still alive) Gheeeez

I'm sorry for both your losses.

You should take a vacation. Take your kid with you drive around on backroads and ride through crop sprinklers with the sunroof open in your car.

It's always fun to surprise your kids with something out of the ordinary, plus it helps getting away from all the mental stress of thinking of your love ones that have passed away. Make sure to pass down what your dad taught you to your son.. That way he can live forever.

Hoot, my dearest Miss Flute, if only you feel my hugs and love, mother-in-laws are tricky fish especially when they have sons and grandsons. I think (maybe) that it stems from they themselves not being valued as mothers but it's never acceptable. They ought to be able to let go and realize how hurtful it can be. Blah.

it´s really sad, especially when I assume they haven´t been that old

and especially at christmas I can imagine how all that stuff always comes up again
