| Bloomin' crazy ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Anyone here gone through this? What did you eat? I'm so sick of soup and yogurt. My jaw's stiff so I can't really chew. Anything I can do for pain relief other than taking painkillers? The ones I got don't really help much. I extracted two wisdom teeth on Thursday, both on the right side. I held an ice pack to my cheek for several hours on both Thursday and yesterday and I'm still so swollen it looks like I'm storing nuts for the winter! Hurray! I'm just waiting for the bruising, oh joy! Also, were you awake during the surgery? I know North Americans get happy gas or get to sleep through it. I, however, was awake the whole time, just local anesthesia. That's how I noticed that my dentist looks like McDreamy. Last edited by Cat : 11-10-2007 at 04:02 PM. |

| Ask for the real Vicodin. The generic ones are shiet. I think you have the right to ask for better painkillers if the ones you have aren't cuttin' it. I'd say Acupuncture for an alternative but I've never seen someone go for your sort of pain. Are there any Acupuncturist in your town? If I may ask, what's your age? I'm going on 27 and still have all my teeth. Last edited by Avis Phlox : 11-10-2007 at 04:10 PM. |

Hah, it's in my profile. I'm 20. Have you gotten your wisdom teeth? I know some people don't get them at all. Others have room for them so there's no need to extract them. My bottom ones were impacted horizontally so they had to be taken out. Surprisingly, yes. It is that bad. I didn't think it would be seeing as the last time I removed one I didn't have to take any painkillers at all. I don't know what he's done to me this time. ibuprofens are no good for pain. When I had my shoulder pains 2 weeks ago they gave me Xenophen (500mg) which is another form of ibuprofen. It's more an anti-inflammatory than a painkiller. My doctor said I could take Acetaminophen(500mg) and it was better. Ask your dentist what you can do, don't mix meds without consulting him first! Create a voodoo doll of your self and stick needles in the feet, that way the pain will then move from your mouth to your feet, which is far more bearable. Also, crush you old wisdom teeth down into a fine powder, then cook them in a spoon and then either smoke it or shoot it up. This should make you pass out which should also dull the pain. good luck. oh, and don't forget to kill a chicken at some point and drink its blood. voodoo rule #1.
