Default Loyalty programs

I needed a new pair of black jeans since one of my rats chewed the pair I had so I had to actually face the shops. I went to Just Jeans because they always seem nice there and sure enough they were most helpful and I left with 4 pairs of jeans, and signed up for the Just Jeans loyalty program. Seemed good value since I'd be getting a $10 gift voucher and I managed to win a double pass to go and see HairSpray.

Can you trade those passes for something better? This loyalty programme, is it a like a "store credit card"? Cuz if it is, you're f*cked.

The paperwork wasn't credit card based. I think it's a reward program. For every $200 you spend you get a $10 gift voucher and discounts on special days and whatever.

Then you're lucky. In the States we try to get you into the deepest hole of debt in every way possible.

Credit is fairly easy to get here too. The easier it is to get, the higher the interest rate. We like the hole digging thing here as well.

What sort of personal information did you need to give them - email address, postal address, telephone number? There is always a catch.

I had to give them contact details. They told me I won't get advertising material so I'll see what happens there. I think it is mainly a reward program, so it's motivation to spend there rather than somewhere else.

Well they are deeply essential, and such a bargain!

What about installation, is that covered in the cost? Is there a minimum number I have to buy to get the bargain price? Some of my windows are kind of hard to get to, is that going to cost more? How much will it save on my power bill?

There's so many questions. I could tie a telemarketer up for hours before saying not interested.
