New baby

The rat mansion has a new resident. I think it's a young rat and not particularly bright. It didn't seem nearly scared enough of the dog so if it goes back in the wild it'll probably have a short life. I wonder if it's an offspring from one of mine, since that'd explain it's timid nature. It can give one hell of a bite though and drew blood the first time I tried to catch it. She's very cute.

We don't have rabies here. Tetanus is the only risk but I got a shot the last time I was bitten.

I don't think this one is so young after all. It's another resident of the rat retirement home instead.

I don't think she's going to make it through the night. She's wrapped up all warm in a dark box but she's not even trying to bite me now.

Little rat didn't make it through the night. At least she had a nice warm place without the dog tormenting her.

Yes, it wasn't a baby coming to live in the mansion but another old rat coming in from the cold.
