New Family Member

So, last night we finally took in this little stray adolescent sized cat. It's fixed and housebroken so what the hell. I think the owners just left them when they moved to Chicago. Poor lil guy. Seems very needy right now, but I like that, its sweet.

So, anyways - Now I have a cat. We named him Guinness.

It sounds so sweet indeed. It's very good of you that you 'adopted' the kitty.

I'd love to have a cat as well, but maybe when I am older and when I have enough time...

Pets are not for me. Already having a hard time keeping indoor plants alive.

There have been some new developments with the kitty cat.

My neighbor who had been feeding it before we took it, said - wanna cat? It's been neutered and de-clawed.
A. It's not de-clawed (thats ok though)
B. I dunno if its been neutered either since we think its actually a GIRL. SO...neutered is kind of impossible.
C. We have a girl cat named Guinness.

Good news is that she's def housebroken. yay.

She will meow alot and I'm wondering what she wants. She has food and water and I pet her alot. Hmmm???

This morning she meow'd until I got up and out of bed. This could be a problem.

Aww, poor Op! She's a baby right? She may be wondering wtf happend to her former family also. She will grow out of it. I am surprised she's not going to the boys first. What do they think of her?

^It's fine. She's not a kittin, she looks more like a pre-teen?

She could be confused. She sleeps at the foot of our bed which is sweet.

The boys are obsessed as this is their first pet. She seems to like them but they need to remember that cats needs lots of space. They really need a puppy. yellow lab?

I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to take her to the vet to figure out if she's been spayed.

No. She has food. It's weird because she will meow and I'll give her attention then she will walk off and still meow. Talkative kitty.

Also, what do you guys think of de-clawing cats? It's always seemed a little mean to me. but maybe I'm just un-educated on the matter.

It seems a bit mean to me as well. I'm also uneducated on it but I think I'd be pissed if someone pulled all my finger nails out.

My neighbours have a talkative cat. Whenever it's out side it seems to be meowing. No idea if it's the same inside. Maybe the cat wants to go outside....or it just likes to chat.
