Dirty phone calls

Anyone ever been on the receiving end? I've had about 4 now, all at work, someone (I presume male) heavy breathing (the mind boggles).

As it's coming through my work phone system I can't check the number or 1471 / *69 his ass.

I can't ignore my phone so I have to pick up, any suggestions?

I used to have a guy who called and heavy breathed and talked dirty. One day I asked if he'd like to speak to my boyfriend, never heard from him again.

Or you could just hang up on him until he gets bored.

Thank God I never received that kind of calls. What I heard from other gals who experienced that, they had a whistle and when that stupid person calls again, they blew into the whistle. Ouch! (I mean this seriously, I have really read that.)
And from what I've read, those guys never called again.

Just start saying random crap to him. Let everyone know whats going on, first, so they don't think you're crazy, and then just talk shlt when he calls. And also, berate his performance like "You're getting worse, son. The other day the moans were semi-believable, but you're just not putting any effort into it today".

I once had a strange call on my mobile, this woman began to talk all soft, asking if I was at home and began to get quite graphic to what she was apparently doing. Don't remember the all the details since this was in 2002. She even sang for me, HAHAHA!

Never knew what that was about, she probably thought I was someone else. I didn't mind, it was quite entertaining, and people usually pay $2.99 per minute for such calls (good thing it was a night call too, those minutes were free.)

I tried this. This is my normal path with prank callers, I patronise them until they feel they need to defend their ridiculous prank. With the heavy breather it just seemed to encourage him.

uh huh. The guy who called to ask if there were any walls here was much more fun. He chatted to me for an hour after I made him feel like an idiot and he felt he should try and redeem himself.

That's what I'm worried about. I have an inkling I know who it might be. Unfortunately changing my number is not an option as it's my work phone.

My boss said she would answer the phone for me for the rest of the day. She'll scare the **** outta him if he does it again.

Similar path to me asking if he wanted to talk to my boyfriend. It might work if she gets a cal and scares the crap out of him.
