Default I Need Some Damn Motivation

So my life is in a very large hole right now. My house is a mess, I'm unemployed, bored out of my brain, stuck in the 'Burbs and, God help me, I'm starting to think I want a relationship. How in the hell do I motivate myself to get out of this funk that I'm in? I just can't be bothered even trying right now.

I've found wanting a relationship becomes a bigger thing when life is in a hole. It's like wanting someone to share the gloom with.

I did something a few weeks ago that helped me get out of a hole. I gave myself a week to be miserable and pathetic. Then on the Monday morning after my allocated week of pathetic I got up and got on with things. Walking the dog in the morning, contacting prospective employers, catching up with friends, just generally keeping myself busy. It's a matter of forcing yourself to do it, keeping a promise to yourself.

^ Very bloody good idea.

I think I done gotta just haul my ass from in front of the computer and start by cleaning the house. Energy feeds of action, or some such thing.

Cleaning is one of the things I use. Also use it as a measure of how far off track I go. When the dishes get too high in the sink it's kind of like a wake up call. I get them done, even though I can't really be bothered.

I have a structured house cleaning plan, partly because I hate housework and without a plan it won't get done, but it also forces me to do stuff.

I got bits of it done. I still have a shlt load of junk to chuck, but I got the laundry done after two damn weeks of rain has backed it up waaay over the galvanized bin(my laundry basket), and the kitchen is nearly clean. I'm still holding out hope that I'll get up the energy to chuck the junk out later tonight once my head clears up.

And babe, if only I lived closer to you, I'd offer to do your housework for you. Honestly, I swear it absolutely, I would.

I love chucking stuff out. It's much easier to clean when there's no stuff.

See, I'm the opposite. The scrubbing is all exciting, but the chucking just bores me.

It was only a Temp job, first up...... But mostly I just hated it there and was surly the whole time I worked there. Too bltchy an atmosphere for me to be happy in, so everyday I had to fight myself not to quit like 5 times over. Eventually they let me go for some reason.........

Maybe because you were surly all the time? Just a thought.

By that I mean emotionally.

In your dreams, Phoenix. Its very sweet of you to offer, though.

Na, I just need to keep on looking until I find a job I like, or get rid of my fierce temper.......... Whichever comes first.

Tempers are bad for working. It took me a long time to get mine under control.

And bad for any type of social life. I can only speak for myself when I say that I don't like drama in a relationship. Arguments are fine and expected, but tempers are a big turn-off. Lived way too many times to go at it again and again. Not making that same mistake again.. and again.. and again..

What was that movie called? That one with this girl who was turned into a hit-woman... she had a nasty temper.

Fire in your veins? Repeat after me: "I never minded the little things"
