| Perennially Disgruntled ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Alright, I just ordered. I'll keep you guys up to date on how it went. It's pretty nerve racking since I bought colour. It's a bit like a lucky dip as to whether or not I'll actually like what I've bought. Exciting times, girls! Update: Apparently my order is now dispatched, a total of less than 4 hours after being placed. Last edited by MissyO : 05-23-2007 at 08:30 AM. |

I saw some lipstick I wanted. free shipping whoo hoo! subsequently, I have been meaning to mention. I know this chic that moved from America (she's American) to Austrailia about 7 years ago, and I ran into her when she was visiting her family back in the states and now she has the most thick Austrailian accent I have ever heard. what gives? is this possible? It was so bizarro I could barely look her in the eye. |

| Perennially Disgruntled ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It arrived today. I hope you gals appreciate what I do for you, cause I was asleep when the delivery came and I ended up having to walk up to Junky St and pick the package up at the post depo. But what can I say? I love you all and am happy to put my life on the line in the interests of research for you gals! Its all for you, I swear. Soooo, first the packaging. Gorgeous. [A note on this, though, I claimed it was a gift and I was sending it to myself, I'd advise you do the same, I'm not sure that they'd make it as pretty if it wasn't a gift.] The post box was white and had a lilac ribbon around it! I felt all glamorous holding it, even if I was strolling down Junky St in suburban Sydney rather than 5th Avenue. Once I made it home alive, and after feeling all loved up from untieing the lilac ribbon, I found a pretty little card in an envelope with my message in it:"I love you sugar. You deserve these. XXX Moi". Aren't I just the sweetest??? Anywho, so they get full points for protective packing, loads of fluffy white styrofoam, and the cosmetics themselves were well wrapped in silver paper. Honestly, it was like Christmas! As to colour accuracy from what I thought I was getting, that's a hard one. I wouldn't order expecting an exact colour. It just wont happen. You'll have to go into a store and find out the number and name of the colour you want if you don't want any surprises. I emphasised the number and name bit because the colour patch that I ordered for the lipstick (a brown shade) ended up belonging to a different number(a blackberry shade), it was just placed next to the number I got by accident. While I'm sweet with this (the whole point of this exercise was to push me out of my comfort zone) and the colour I got ended up being gorgeous and wearable just darker and more dramatic than my usual standards, if you only wear certain colours or have colouring that means wearing say, plum, makes you look like a pig, you'll need to be careful. So overall, I loved the experience. It was a bit of excitement for the week, anyhow. And if you want reviews of everything I got, just ask. I can't be stuffed writing them up in this post because its already quite rambly and long. |

| Perennially Disgruntled ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The lipstick was the freebie with purchase, and it's Orlane, Rouge Extraordinaire Lipstick shade number 84. I don't know about staying power, but I like the consistency and texture. It has a very slight shimmer which is incredably flattering, just light reflective rather than in your face glitter, it's quite sheer, which is good, because on my already dark lips it would turn out Purple if it was more than a wash of colour. Other goodies that I bought: Stilla Eye Glaze in Smoke - I could write a f*cking sonnet to this stuff. Absolutely a 30 second make-me-phuckable-glamourisation wonder. The perfect shade of dark smokey grey, I put this on and decided that I needed to get my social life back in order because this is fabulous beyond belief. Just enough shimmer to make it club worthy, not so much they'll ask if you're performing. Instant sex appeal for everyone. Stilla Eye Glaze in Moon - A fairly standard pale grey/silver white shimmer. It's not too bad, but after trying the glory that is Smoke, it left me going "meh, it's a good standard for the wardrobe". Good as a base, I guess. Or for less formal/early evening events. Nina Ricci Fluffy Blush in Suede Evanescent - Nice flattering light brown, slight shimmer, melts into the skin leaving cheeks slightly bronzed. Will need to wear it all day to tell you how well it really performs. |

| MIHO THE HARTNETT BUNNI!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm gonna go check that out. I've bought a few cosmetics from the same site I get all my Cleanser and toner etc. from (CosmeticsCop.com, I love her line, and I have all of her books and I highly recommend them, especially the beauty bible, and most of her stuff comes in sample sizes, which is awesome when trying out lipstick colours.) but that's it. I'll definitely check out that site because I spend far too much on eyeshadows. If I like the colour combination, they're mine, no matter what the cost. I just get all inspired. And then I see my uninspiring bank account balance. |
