Women are mothers....

I saw an ad the other day for some charity group raising money for starving and poor children. It made a big point of being run and set up by women with a lot of explanation of why that made it somehow more special. The bit that struck me was the comment "women are mothers" like somehow that makes them more caring for children. Do you think that's the case? Men are fathers....do you think women are naturally more caring?

The 'pc' response is no, men care as much as women but I believe there's this extra, unconscious reaction in women which makes them just that bit more protective of their off spring. But generally men can be as caring as women and vice versa.

Given that women actually have the babies, I suppose it's possible that evolution might have rendered them more emotionally equipped to raise a child.

Just an idea.

emotion has nothing to do with raising children properly. its just nicer if youre loved by your parents/you love the child.

they're emotional because of all that estrogen. all that estrogen is what makes them women...which is why they can have the babies.
