Default I went to the States today

Today I decided I want to take a quick trip to the U.S. I drove down since I don't live to far from the border. I really like it there and the people where pretty nice especially when I got a little lost there. I just got a few dvd's there and I went I hops for the first time and it was great.

I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to the US, brief as it was, and I'm even gladder that you left some of your money here. Have any hassle crossing the border?

Actually I didn't have any problems at the border so it made the trip easy.

When will you decide to visit Brazil?
You can come here driving your car because the distance is not far and you will not have problems with the border here. Call me and I wait for you there.

Another reason for us to close down our boarder. :p

Glad you had a good time, where exactly did you go?

PS: What's with me being a Junior member here? I've been an active member longer then 99% of the people here, been banned multiple times, been a mod multiple times...what does a guy need to do? :p

The idea of driving to another country on a day trip, or year trip even, will always seem like such a fun novelty to me.

We can drive to mainland Europe now too... I'm hoping the waring isn't going to start up again.

I did get some strange looks from the German border guards when I drove into Germany in a French car with French licence plates. When I produced my US passport, however, they put their weapons away and waved me through with a slight sneer.

Wave a British passport and you get straight through any customs point.

I want to try canada border. I’ve walked over the mexican one at tj, it's exciting. I did there & back twice in the same day. On the mexican side it’s friendly how they don’t give you any checks. It’s just a two minute walk over an old bridge, and then past a dozing police man, and some people selling shiny bracelets. But when you walk back the other way there’s so much security, it’s the same as going through an international flight. I think they were suspicious when i got out my british passport (although i do look like very a swarthy mexican kid whose just robbed some english people for their shoes) because the american guys gave me a really erotic frisk down. Ok yes that’s the real reason i went through twice. It’s scary when you see how different the two sides of the fence are. On the californian side everything’s absurdly clean, all the paving stones look like they get hand-polished ten times a day. And there’s a mcdonalds! We don’t have real borders like that within the eu – often you have to wave a passport but it’s just a formality.
