I recently discovered some other site started taking credit for my Pain For Laughs videos. They edited out the title & credits, then put their own tag on them throughout the video. I had avoided putting tags on my stuff because personally I hate watching something with tags blocking half the picture. It's not like I'm making money off these, but I guess it's time to start tagging my compilations. I just found out about this other site the other day, after someone reposted their version of Pain For Laughs 3 on Metacafe. It shot up to 13,000+ views in a couple days so it was featured.

Sorry that the video is a little choppy, but for some reason when I added the tag it turned out that way. The version without the tag on my PC runs very smooth in comparison. I'll try finding another program to use for tagging my stuff, but for now deal with choppy...

Also since you didn't film the clips, only compiled them and added music which you didn't compose or interpret.

That's right. Also, stupid copyright protection mechanisms are for the content industry, not for people who compile collections of stuff on non-profit grounds.

But don't get me wrong, I agree that it blows when other people take away your intro credits to replace it with theirs.

I hope this happened to the unauthorized repost of your video no 3. I don't get it. How does one get 13000 views in one day? That can't be explained with a good tagline alone.

If this was something I had made myself with my own footage & music I'd be really ticked. Your right though, it's not like I own any part of the video it's just remixing stuff created by others. I still don't want people taking credit for my work.
