I want to move to Iceland. It's so cold there, all people do is have sex and listen to Bjork.

They were a music group from the seventies. With worldwide record sales of over 350 million, only Elvis Presley and The Beatles have sold more records than ABBA.

They are all alive and doing very well. In fact ABBA still sells almost 3 million albums a year due to the success of "Mamma Mia" which is base on ABBA's songs.
The original stage musical of Mamma Mia! premiered in London on April 6, 1999. Today there are 13 current productions of the show, and it has been performed in eleven different languages. It recently passed The Producers to become the 18th-longest running show in History on Broadway. Currently it holds the distinction of being the longest running musical in both Las Vegas and Moscow.
The movie version of "Mamma Mia" which will be in the theaters this July, stars Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried and Colin Firth.

Actually edawg99, they were never really that popular in the US and Canada during the time they were together as a group. I remembered them back in the 70's when they sang Dancing Queen and Fernando. But up until 2 years ago, those were the only songs I had ever heard them sing. The rest of the world was a different story. The UK, Australia, Japan, and all of the European/Scandinavian countries and went wild over them. All sorts of their songs were number 1 hits. So I bought a CD called ABBA Gold. There are so many new fantastic songs on the CD, I was blown away. They have such a unique sound, and the voices of the two girls blend together magically. It's amazing to me that a Swedish group, were able to sing all their songs in English, and you never even hear any hint of a Swedish accent. Now I've accumulated a collection of over 100 of their songs.

By the way, I checked, they all like Chevys and they love Linda O'neil.

Death, Have you seen Mamma Mia? The musical is unbelievable.
At the end, the whole audience was on their feet clapping and singing along with the songs. A memory I'll never forget.
