Yes, though, you're right I admit. English is a great language and it's always great to go to another country thousands of miles away and hearing the little differences. I heart America, more so Australia. They have man eating spiders. Quote:

True, our foreign language in high school was Latin, but it was not taught so that we could converse in to but because it is the basis for so many other languages and as an example of how languages are constructed. But my main point is my pronunciation. I'll record some english words and you and the others will analyse them and say if I'm saying them correctly. |

For example, if Missy wants that I say "I love you" to her, should be a piece of cake to me! ![]() Last edited by Val : 04-01-2008 at 07:03 PM. |

| currently without DSL :-( ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I use umlauts to express the pronunciation :I would have said: ärrick, bläck-maask, lättiss, fänn-houst, diss-gassting, dinner. you said: "erick", here in Brazil we would say "ärrick", [...] what else, "bläck-mäsk", it's not "blahck-mask", "fang-host" [...] "leddiss", "lett-ihs" and here we say "lett-tschuhs" - completely wrong. [...] "diss-gaassting", it's not diss-guu-sting" [...] "dinner", the British say "dinaar". I'd say you got it almost. I don't really know if my Blackmask version is right or yours.
