Default Earth Hour

Most of my neighbours have turned there lights off and the people on the other side of the hill it looks like a power outage around here.

I looked at a Melbourne webcam and although not a blackout, the time phase shows that some buildings turned off their lights.

Is everyone else planning on being in the dark at 8pm their time?

First I heard of it.

Looks like a Ferris wheel in the city view.

That's the giant sky wheel, largest ferris wheel in the southern hemisphere I think.

Ok, envision this scenario. Instead of doing it at 8 PM which means each time zone does it successively. Everyone on the night side of the planet should do it at the same time. Then by chance, our first bonified visitor from another planet arrives in the solar system from the night time side of the earth to see all of the lights suddenly turned out. How do you think that would make him feel?!?!

Wow, now that you mention it, there was a really bright light in the sky during the hour here. It seemed to be hovering, as if it was looking for something. Poor guys, must have been so confusing to see all the lights go out when they arrived.

hummm.....
Blackmask and Missy live in Australia. According to the time zone here in Brazil, I think I'm on time to do that. Of course I'll choose a good company because I hate dark places.

I didn't turn off any lights. It's a stupid idea anyway. The whole climate change is an natural thing, it's not us causing it.
