Default Phobias

Everyone has some sort of phobia in their life. What is yours?
Here is a list of some of phobias that actually exsist (& some are the funniest things I have ever heard!)

Altophobia - Fear of heights
Bibliophobia - fear of books
Felinophobia - fear of cats
Autophobia - fear of being alone
Hemophobia - fear of blood
Hobophobia - fear of bums or beggars
Vestiphobia - fear of clothing
Coulrophobia - fear of clowns
Apiphobia - fear of bees
Ergophobia - fear of work
Andraphobia - fear of men
Dystychiphobia - fear of accidents
Musophobia - fear of mice
Arachnephobia - fear of spiders
Xerophobia - fear of dryness (LOL!)

I have Arachnephobia & spider webs. I hate static too cause it feels like spider webs. Ugh!

I have a fear of bushfires and being eaten by sharks...not at the same time though.

Needles. I haven't had a blood sample taken in about the last 10 years now. I get way hypochondriac when I'm at a hospital. All I can think about is getting sick and needles.

I can't pull a cotton ball out of an aspirin bottle without freaking out. If you squeeze the ball in the wrong way it makes this weird squeaking sound that for some reason makes me want to die.

A cotton ball makes a squeaking noise when you squeeze it?!?!? You sure they don't put white mice in your aspirin bottles down there?

Yah, it's only when I grab it wrong and I feel that weird scrunchy weird feeling and hear that squeak. But that 50% makes me trepidatious around cotton balls, to say the least.

I would guess a career in medicine is out of the question, then, although psychaitrists usually only dispense oral medication.

Clowns, although no one likes clowns so it's hardly a phobia.

Anyone have Arachibutyrophobia - the phobia related to the fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth?

I don't fear clowns (I work with several every day) but I just don't understand and hence appreciate (European) clown humor.

Arachibutyrophobia? I had to look that one up. At first glance I though it was the fear of things made out of butyl rubber! No I am not afraid of having peanut butter stick to the roof of my mouth.

I did try and make it easy by typing the answer in my post but you obviously didn't work out you had to highlight the white writing.

And like I said, no one likes clowns.

I just thought it was a fun way of letting people guess the nature of the phobia, rather than just reading it straight out. I thought you were a smart guy and you'd figure it out. Seems I might was well talk to the wall. Get it?

If anything I would say I got Autophobia the most and Ergophobia. Sometimes I dread going to work because I know it's going to be so busy and it's going to be a rough day.
