I don't see anything crazy about this. He's an entrepreneur with an idea, doesn't sound like a drunken yokle you're making him out to be.

Busch has horses (Clydesdales), the former owner of Beck's has a green yacht, so what's wrong with erecting a monument to yourself? Politicians do it regularily.

We criticize people who blatantly self-promote themselves, yet without ego driven people would we not be somewhat poorer as a society? Nay, I say self motivated people whether it be for money, fame, or self satisfaction, are what drives society to new heights while the vast majority grovel in the dirt.

Blackmask, he probably was sitting on his back porch, having a few beers, looking at his land & just decided then & there fudge it, I'm building Stonehenge in my backyard.
I'd like to see how the approval goes.
I want to build Disneyland in my yard.

I definatley would not come up with that idea when drinking. My brightest idea when drinking in the backyard was to jump over an open fire (Dumb, I know.) let alone Stonehenge in the backyard.
