| Light 'er up baby! ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm having trouble with connecting Live MSN on my computer. None of my friends can help me wondering if you guys could? Kers, I know you are trying to help but I need more to get it up & running. I've down loaded the program but when I connect to it & sign up my computer shuts down the whole thing & it says the Data Excecution Prevention has shut it down. I go in & try to change the settings on my computer but its says I have to be logged into MSN to have it changed. Its really peeving me off! Any advice peoples? TY. |

| Ain't you the lucky one? ![]() ![]() | update: OK, wasnt so hard! Here's wut u do, it's straight off the microsoft site: 1. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK. 2. Click the Advanced tab, click Performance, and then click Settings. 3. In Performance Options, click the Data Execution Prevention tab, and then click Add. 4. In the Open dialog box, locate and then click the program. In your case it would probably be somthing like c:\program files\windows Live\messenger\msnmsgr.exe 5. Click Open, click Apply, and then click OK. When you are prompted to restart your computer, click OK. This basically puts the windows live program in the ignore list or something like that. Try it out and if it works then send me pm with your address so we can chat! ![]() Last edited by CaseyM : 03-23-2008 at 10:57 PM. |
