i was under the impression that it's best to wait until you're older...even older than 50 to get a replacement.

I don't know, but if my knee keeps going at this rate it will be needed before then. The doctor already told me he has done replacements on people with knees better then mine.

Sorry to be a wet blanket Spin, my nan has had both of her knees replaced with stainless steel (or whatever they use) & she is her 70's. My nan you could say is almost bionic after the amount of replacements she has had!
