What do you think? Good? Bad? Too long winded?

I stopped at a local McDonald's to get a fruit salad & a grilled chicken patty. So as the car in front of me finishes up with their order, the line moves forward. However the restaurant is a little backed up, and the car is only able to pull up about 4 feet. Now this puts my drivers side window about about 10 feet from the microphone, and I hear the person at the other end say, "May I take your order?"

After he got no answer, because I didn't feel like shouting my order for everyone in line to hear, he asked again, "May I take your order?"

Still I didn't reply, so a slightly angry very annoyed employee then says in a sarcastic tone, "Sir this is the part in which you tell me what you want to eat."

So at this point I get mad, and a little red in the face probably. Just as I started to shout my order into the microphone the line moved slightly, and I was able to speak in a normal tone. When I finished, the jerk asked the typical question, "Will that be all?"

I started to say yes....then said no and started reading random things from the menu until I figured my total would be around $100. When I finished, and he read it back to me my total was only $84.24. Not as high as I would have liked it, and not as high as I should have made it. Anyways I pulled up to the first window, and pretended to dig around my wallet for the money. Once a had a wad of cash in my hand I pretended to start counting out change in my change tray. I was dragging this out on purpose not only because it was agitating the smart alec in the window, but I wanted the car at the second window to move on before my next move.

As soon as I see the car ahead of me move, I look at guy in the window and say, "This is the part where you kiss my ass." I then gave the 1 fingered salute, and calmly drove on to Taco Bell.

I've never reacted like that before, but this seems to happen a lot. Some of these twits even have cameras so they can see you're not even close to the microphone. Why can't they just wait until you can pull all the way up to the microphone?

Oh I hate that as well. Here they always they "Wanna have fries with that?" I hate fries, especially those at McDs. I'm there for the burgers - and only for them, since they cancelled that delicious cappuccino milk-shake.

Why would you do that? It doesn't help the guy understand that you don't want to have a conversation with a speaker some 10 ft away from you and only costs you money.

...you know what else sucks? Wiseass Wikipedia users that delete your contributions three minutes after you added them, just saying that's it's not noteworthy, when it actually is. You don't see me running rampant in articles that are in their field of interest but not mine.

I wasn't worried about it, what were they going to do over that? Hell the guy in the window is just lucky I didn't complain to the manager about his attitude.

As for Wikipedia users that would be a pain in the butt. I don't even contribute, but I would be pissed if I put some work in then someone deleted it.

Thanks for the kinds words Avis Phlox, but I can't do as you so nicely requested at my blog. I post where & when I want....at least until I get banned....for the 3rd or 4th time? Anyways if someone was going to tell me what to do it wouldn't be some scrub with 2,700 post next to their name. Maybe I should take your advice though, after all you've started such classic threads as the ones below...

Yeah, I finally got my B.A., and I'm still in Middletown. I still need to get my masters in the future though, and I eventually want to get a PHD. Then people will have to call me Dr. Spin. :D
