| sla-pus a bit-chus ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ive been down and out this past week. I got a perianal abscess. for all info on that google it, I recommend the image search It is extremely embarassing injury.so they lanced it (a fancy term for poking) and drained all the pus out of it, it hurts to sit down, it hurts to walk, cant really lay on my back..because it hurts. the only comfort I find is in laying on my stomach. so what was I saying?...oh yes, I am down and out for at least another week and a half. cant sit down at the computer for too long cuz it hurts like hell. the only upside I see is the wonderful medicine they put me on, its like being stoned only without the smoke or the stench. It sucks not being able to work, Im gonna be so broke after this, I was planning on moving out soon. also means Ill mis a good chunk of classes when school starts. Im in the clouds.....ttyl...bbl kthxbais. Last edited by Dark Dude : 08-17-2007 at 12:46 AM. |

| I had that, too. Hurts like hell. I had to take a leave from college because of it. The first drain they gave me laughing gas. Funny sh!t, seriously. I felt like I could see 5 seconds into the future. Good sh!t. Other "sessions" they'd give me the IBU-500's, once they gave me the real Vicodin (not the generic alt) but after the surgery I was on the generic codeine. You're not gonna like it when you run out. Trust me. Get that surgery pronto. I was homebound for 6 months, life sucks when you can't drive or do anything. There's also a chance it'll come back in 10 years, apparently. Good luck, DD. | its common amongst the computer bound sloths (and all the sickening habits that go along with it). it was common for a while in the army from all the jeep riding, they think. actually, default i remember you vaguely telling me about it so when i had it last year, i immediately knew what to research so thanks for that. its ****ing disgusting. it was gone in a week for me i just let it drain. anyway, look up pilonidal cysts and you should look up doctor bascom. the surgery you went through was unecessary, according to his research. cutting huge chunks out of your lower back isnt worth it. and the smell...good lord the smell. its just gross. prior to it reachig the surface, i had pain in the area almost constantly for months. no one in my family even knows i had this because my mother was away for a week and no one was hom and i was home all day by myself, for the most part. i felt the bump, aggravated it, it grew and within 2 weeks it was gone. i wont be making the same mistakes i made then (like sitting directly on my tailbone BAD IDEA). for those wondering what it feels like, its...actually i cant remember. it was a year ago. Though...perhaps what you 2 had was different. mine was definitely pilonidal. right in the crack. Well anyway, thanks default for mentioning your awful bodily growth because if you hadnt, i would have freaked out. this is disgusting. Last edited by darko. : 08-17-2007 at 02:22 AM. |

That sounds awful DD! and Phoenix and Darko. Actually my dad used to get these (re-occuring) and I remember he used to be in so much pain...the whole house would sort of shut down. Hope you are feeling better soon but in the meantime...keep taking those pain pills. |
