Damn, presented like that it does seem confusing. And yet I could read it all and know what it meant.

I'll give it a shot, there's not much in the pronunciation of those two words though, at least not in Australian.

I had to sebject the subject to a series of tests.

In both cases it is the syllable upon which the inflection is placed that makes the difference.
I had to sub-ject the sub-ject to a series of tests.
I did not ob-ject to the ob-ject.

If English was easy anyone could speak it.

I learned all my intensive english through that man. To me it's an accomplishment when you can express yourself cynically in a foreign language. That's when you truly master the art of lexicon!

You need to emphasis the 'ject' in the first subject... but not the second. I think. Now I'm confused too... let's just go drool over Angelina instead Val?

Nahhhhh ....
English is easy.
The main problem is me. I'm too retarded to learn another language.
But if we compare portuguese to english, you will see that portuguese is ... absurdly ... more difficult.

It's where the emphasis is on the word, change in pitch of the voice.

hmmmm...teaching pronunciation via a message board I think is destined to fail.

I didnt speak a word of english when I first came to the U.S. puro espanol.
I picked it up quite fast, teachers were surprised. my method was TV, I watched a lot of tv. so that explains why I dont speak english with an accent. I wish I did though, even I think those mexican spanish accents are sexy. tayke mee i am all yours, senor.
