OMG! LOLza! Anyone Remember Afghanistan?

There's a show on about drugs and Afghanistan at the moment. It's giving me flashbacks to 2002. You know, there was a small war there and shlt.
I didn't even remember it existed until just now LOL.

They love growing Poppies there , and they wear funny hats. I went on an Afganistan website once , it was for Afghan tourism, the Border was Afganistan "The friendliest place on Earth "(lolza )I wish I would have printed that out
The women still run around in Burkas (even thou they dont have to) and the women now can have beauty salons. Thats about all the liberal media puts out for us to read.

Reminds me of a story I found funny back in 2002.

I remember Customs stopped a little old lady from getting on a plan, because she had knitting needles in her bag. Crazy right? Yeah, they were afraid she would knit an Afghan. *badum-CHING*

I love the irony of Edawg's comment. While the rest of us are being sarcastic and (at least, I am) condeming the media and society for forgetting about, or ignoring, that country and its hellacious issues, Edawg just walks right in and sums the average dudes attitude up for us.

It also says something about modern satire that you have to know all the posters previously to understand that Edawg is the only one who is serious.

I heard a man on the street segment a year or so ago where they asked people to name anyone of the 9 Supreme court justices. Nobody could name any of them. They asked the same people to name 9 charactors from the Simpsons and all of them got that right.

Thats not hard to beleive, I wouldnt know the 9 names of supreme court justices.

Why would I care about something thats happening a million miles away. I care about my life and the people around me not that boring crap going on way over there.
