Could any one explain me a thing?

Here at whatever forum, and of course in other forums with less intensity, there are topics with 20 replies for example and 220 views.
Man ... it's more than 100% the difference.

Why that? Laziness in posting?

Most threads in Whatever are around 5 views to every post, which I don't think is too bad. Some of those I assume are people who have already posted in a thread or regulars and are checking out what's been said. Others might be lurkers who haven't joined up....to them, join up scumbags and say something.

It seems to me to be one view per person no matter how many times you click it. All the views are unique people. I do know one way it records multiple views per person but im sure it doesnt happen that often by accident and im sure nobody is taking the time to purposely rack up topic views.

That number is pretty good. Go look at some of the celeb forums, 10 posts to over 1000 views. Many forums have even more views to posts. Just lots of lurkers or people who have nothing to say on the topic.

Maybe it's disheartened lurkers who realise that their contributions could never match those of established posters. I'd like to tell these lurkers that practice makes perfect, but that would be a lie. It's either in you or it isn't.

In my case, if the headline gets my attention I open it up to look. There are are some topics I have no intrest in...therefore no reply. That might be the case with other too

That would mean 1600 different people have through this forum and looked at the picture thread?

In that case, BM, you guys should maybe consider to find another place to post pictures. I mean, anybody can just look. It'd be cool, if there were member threads like the Stars and Starlets forums are members only.

I'm just wondering if maybe some of the lurkers are actually members that just aren't feeling too "talkative". I've been stuck in a rut lately...I've been reading through a lot of really good threads but I just can't think of anything to say.
Just wondering if maybe other members have days like that too?

I got through entire weeks like that. Nothing to say, nothing of value to add. Sometimes, as you may have noticed, that doesn't stop me.

The question about whether on not there unique views was asked once before and I tryed to test it going in and out of threads a few times and that did not add to post count.

I thinks its possible to get 1,400 hits, it depends how many fanhost get per day, im guessing a few thousand, like 9.

Before I registered in fanhost, I used to lurk around the forums a lot. I enjoyed reading the posts as much as actually replying.

I don't think anyone here has more enemies than Silverspoon. I keep hoping he'll post something that will get him banned. I check every day .. first thing in the morning, last thing at night.
