| yeah i do. whenever i drink something very cold, my luips get red and swollen adn tichy. when i rummage through the freezer, or even the fridge for even just a minute or so, i get red and itchy hands, somewimtes swollen. my sister and mom also. my brother reacts to heat. when he gets hot he gets very itchy. a more accurate term would be "cholinergic urticaria". hmmm now that i think of it, when i am walking around outside, i often get very itchy on my inner thighs and right abover my knee towards the inside. from my pants rubbing against my leg. i wasnt made for this life!!!!! | haha no i can. i just dont enjoy holding it, the cold bowl, the cold container, or rubbing it on my lips. but why would you rub ice cream on your lips? its sticky. it doesnt affect my tongue, thankfully. i always melt ice cream in the microwave a bit before i eat it anyway. i dont like it when its all frozen. |

| The Inner Light ![]() ![]() ![]() | Jesus, I've been suffering from this for about 3 years with no idea what it's called. I've been looking on the net for ages, but obviously "hot. red. itchy." doesn't bring up much... and then I stumble upon this thread and get my answer. I've got what your brothers got, the heat one. I've been taking antihistimanes for it, and they work pretty well. Now that I know the technical name I've actually been able to look it up and it seems that's about all I can do for it. What does your brother do? Darko, I share your pain. We've both been on an epic journey facing the harshest conditions. This makes us almost brothers, man. See, I disagree - you got 2 types of people in this world - Dairy Queeners and Baskin Robiners. I am a Basking Robiner (hard ice cream). Silverspoon is a Dairy Queener (soft). ![]() Last edited by jamesfitzgibbon1812 : 04-21-2006 at 10:19 AM. | |
