Which One is Better: "Guitar Hero" OR "Rock Band"?

Since I'm going to be getting a PS3 here pretty soon, I was just wondering which console band/guitar simulator game series is better so I can get it down the road.

as someone who plays the games alot i would have to go with guitar hero. GH doesn't get alot DLC but the songs are more challenging. on rock band it seems that some of the songs are missing notes, even on the hardest difficulty. both games are fun to play when you have a whole band of people. especially at parties. rockband gets dlc every tuesday and that's the only thing i give props to RB for. new music every week. but i like the characters that show up on GH. Especially when they have characters like slash on gh3 and then with travis barker, ozzy, lenny, and hayley williams of paramore on GHWT. i can't wait to get guitar hero 5 soon.

i play both but i prefer GH over RB. the thing is that whatever songs GH doesn't have, RB does. so that's the only reason i play RB from time to time.
