Can't Save Files or Images from Internet Anymore

I haven't used my laptop in a couple of weeks & tonight when I turned it on, got on the internet & realized I couldn't save any files or images from the internet. Then I let all the New Automatic Updates get installed & restarted it, I found that when I:

Right Click
Select Save Link As.../Save Image As...

OR

Click File
Select Save Page As...


Still, nothing happens at all. I can't save files or images anymore. What is going on? I use Mozilla FireFox for my Internet.

This is the first time this has happened to me since owning my laptop or let alone using Mozilla FireFox since first starting to use it since 2002.


UPDATE:
I just tired Internet Explorer to see if the same thing was happening in it too & it's not. I can save files & images through it, but not Mozilla FireFox. What is going on?

try uninstalling and reinstalling firefox would be your best bet. something most likely got corrupted.

You can also make a backup of your Firefox personal folder (let me see where is located in Windows... C:\Documents and Settings\your_name\Application Data\Mozilla), just by changing its name (Mozilla.backup, for example). Now restart Firefox. A new Mozilla folder will be created. Check if the trouble persists.
