| Cannot live without Love ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | No Linux version :( But I'm gonna give it a try when it comes. I will stay with Opera as default browser, but if it's a light one than I can use when loading heavy pages (like Youtube), I will sure run it. Anyway, I don't like Google's philosophy about web apps. |

But that feature can be turned off. I guess. Probably.

It's probably the safest, most reliable, easiest interface browser i've toyed around with. It's funny that Firefox copied the "high speed dial" grid from Opera as that's probably one of the best applications, and I can't help but ask myself why couldn't someone think of something like that before, but it's expected seeing they were the originators of tab browsing. ![]() Last edited by Captain Beefheart; 09-08-2008 at 04:55 AM.. |

![]() You can switch to anonymous mode, but you can't turn this feature of in normal mode. Even deleting the history doesn't work, at least in the version I tried. And even if you only use it for business purposes, I don't think that anyone should find out where I get my information from... at least not so easily.

Google is a publicly traded company, and yeah, it's doing well presently so there's little incentive for it to involve itself in anything too questionable and shady, but you never know. ![]() Last edited by Captain Beefheart; 09-08-2008 at 03:16 PM.. |

| Lacey's Man ![]() ![]() ![]() | I was all excited about Gmail, then read the ToS and decided not to bother. I imagine Google IE is more of the same. As yet, nothing beats IE5's user interface, tho IE6 is close enough, and IE5 isn't available any more. I detest the obscene waste of my screen real estate, they way they waste every other resource (clocks, bytes, everything). If they were still trying to make these things efficient, our computers would need 1/10th the hardware to do what they do now, but they see this stuff is comparitively cheap now and think everyone wants to burn their money. I like my screen to have useful information, not huge, useless interface buttons that are some idiot's idea of stylish. For the love of pizza, let me configure my freakin' window the way I want it to look! IE <7 does this, and that's why I don't use anything else. |
