Opera is faster than FF, because it saves the images of previous web pages you've visited. FF on the other-hand is much more user-friendly (IMO). Until I get an ad blocker on Opera, I am sticking with FF. What about you? |

I just like that tickly feeling of "Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player." But seriously I've tried a lot of browsers over the years, and I like Firefox the best, not because it's the cleanest or fastest or most standards-compliant browser, but because it's moved the farthest in what I feel are the "right" directions since its initial release. The other popular commercial browsers like Opera and Safari, both have a great track record of standards compliance, but they're also in some ways a "specialist" market. Firefox is developed by an open-source community who, while not perfect themselves, are at least more committed to doing things the right way. ![]() Last edited by Captain Beefheart : 04-28-2008 at 01:58 AM. |

| sla-pus a bit-chus ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ive been using opera for years, its gotten slower and slower with every version, but I enjoy the tabbed browsing, the built in pop3 mail server, easy bookmark button and arrangement, (did I mention)tabbed browsing and the lovely mouse gestures. theres so much more. closed window recovery built in text to speech skinz comes with built in pop up and ad blocker, I dont know what wolf i stalking about, Ive never had problems with ads on Opera. if you dont like ads just right-click and choose "block content" its easy! the sidebar on the left turns on and off easily (just click on the left side of the screen and it appears or disappears) the sidebar contains easy access to email, bookmarks, the download manager, history, etc. widgets a notepad while you surf you can highlight words and right-click "search" to google something, without having to go to google and typing it in. its got a copy image address selection when you right click, makes image stealing easier ![]() I can go on and on Last edited by Dark Dude : 04-28-2008 at 03:36 AM. |

| Cannot live without Love ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Every time I'm using Firefox, I'm missing a lot of Opera features. On the other side, the only Firefox thing I want for Opera is the search-on-page feature (more user friendly and powerful in Firefox). Anyway, it's a matter of tastes. The only wrong way is using Internet Explorer :P P.S.: Both Firefox and Opera are worse on Linux than on Windows. That sucks. |

| Senior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | IE7, I know it's not the coolest (more like the uncoolest), but I'm just used to it. FF and Opera only sporadically. I'm not a linux fan - never found enough interest in it to actually play around with it for some time. All this make the drivers yourself stuff is a major turn down when you want to see results, rather than work for hours just to get WLAN running. |
