| Saddam Disney ![]() | There are a few saved pictures that for some reason I cannot view. When I try to open the it either shows unknown format or preview unavailable. I think it might have something to do with the pictures coming from someone in the UK Can anyone help? |

| 1. What website did you get these pictures from? Quote:
2. Take a look at the file extension and tell us what it is.For example: Default.jpg <-- where .jpg is the file extension. Sorry for talking to you like you're 4, but I don't know how familiar you are with computers. | |

| Saddam Disney ![]() | Don't worry.....when it comes to computers, I'm dumber thaan a four year old. file exctension .jpg I can't remember where I got them. I was only at the site once.....and nevr bookmarked it or anything. When I saved them I remember it asked to save as type ART (*art). I thought it was weird because I never saw that before. Usually it is png, jpg or whatever. Now when I look at my saved pictures instead of a thumbnail of the actual picture being shown it's just a little white square with a circle of colors in the middle. And like I said it only shows up as unknown format or preview unavailable. Maybe I need a different viewer? I have window and fax viewer, photo impression ans paint. I don't know |

| .art is a image file format from America Online. IE used to be able to view .art images but that's no longer the case. It's been a long long long time since I've used AOL, like back in 1998, but I've looked at some links and apparently you can turn off the "image compression" feature. It's there for bandwidth purposes so the pages load faster since the .art compression makes the images a much lower quality. To convert your ART files into JPG files: I pulled this info off this site, see if this works for you: Quote:
