| What are you into? There are racing games, war games, fantasy, etc. Assassin's Creed is the first that comes to mind. Perhaps if Captain Beefheart sees this thread he can give a review on it. Ghost Recon, Call of Duty 4, Project Gotham, and FIFA '07 would be my picks. But I'd recommend Playstation 3 instead. ![]() |

PS3 have great RPG and war games. They're my favourites, too. I like the Battlefield franchise. BF: Bad Company, BF2, and 2142 are tops. | |

That's a big warranty for ANY electronic device, most are only 6 months or a year at most.($280 for the Core, $349 for the Premium, $450 for the Elite). Pretty ballsy of them, because they know that they'll be fixing a large percentage of whatever they've sold. Their stockholders probably didn't like this move, but it's definitely the right thing to do. Now while XBox Live has been killing Sony online, and frankly, that's fine by me. Unless you dedicate time to finding a good partner/opponent, the realm of online gaming is a cesspool of hateful menchildren. The PS3 is a slow investment, but it'll treat folks just fine with Heavenly Sword, Metal Gear Solid 4, Little Big Planet, and a bunch of other s!hit. Now, some of that other s!hit is on the 360, too, but in case you haven't been paying attention to the market at all, multi-platform will be the rule of the new generation. Developers and publishers want that cream and they've got two, count them two, viable platforms. It isn't like the days when the PS2 was monkeyf!ucking Xbox into total Halo reliance, the playing field will be pretty much even after this holiday season, so both companies are going to have many fewer exclusives than they used to. I'm not really saying that the 360 will always be the better system, but for right now, I'd argue that it is. I think the PS3-exclusive games that will have been in development for 2-3 years will be amazing (MGS especially), but I really think that the difference will be negligible for most games, since the majority will be cross-platform and it's easier (and cheaper) to develop games on the Xbox. The PS3 will get ported versions of 360 games for the most part on these multi-platform games. Last edited by Captain Beefheart : 12-11-2007 at 01:48 PM. |

| Ya Rly! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I got an Xbox 360 for Christmas. The games I have are: Halo 3 Bioshock Gears of War Mass Effect They're all excellent games. For me, high replay value is one of the biggest factors in judging a game's quality, and those four definitely have it, for my tastes. I haven't had any problems with overheating or the Red Ring of Death, either. |
