Problems with sending emails to Hotmail-addresses

I have a question:

well, since today i can´t send emails to a friend who has a hotmail address anymore.

it always tells me this:

does someone know what that means?
Cause he has no block on me or anything and he´s the only hotmail address I wrote emails to.

Does someone know what to do? Cause when he doesn´t blocked me, which he hasn´t, he checked all his functions, and he wrote me twice today. So that´s not the problem

I hope someone of you here can help me with that, cause I don´t know what´s wrong, I did nothing wrong.

and the funny thing is, I can´t send him mails from my gmx account but from my web. account.

that is really weird, we never had that before.

I hope someone can help me with that problem!!

Every time you are sending an E-mail, it goes through your SMTP server. It's like your town's post office. But Hotmail is receiving a lot of spam from that SMTP server. So they have decided to reject it, even if it kills legitimate mail.

So it's a deal between your mail provider (GMX?) and MSN/Hotmail. Write GMX and tell them about this issue.

oh thanks for telling. I contacted Hotmail already, but seems i should also contact gmx.

so, you think it´s cause of spam? that they blocked it??

the funny thing is just always, that you hardly find an address where you can contact people there, that sucks.

oh nice, I just thought this GMX has an email addy, but then you just get and automatically answer, that they don´t answer this mail, you have to look at other sides, and then they name all the sides.

but there you can only complain about offenses or something.

I have others, but this is my main which everyone has.
and it sucks, they should just fix this problem.

I tried this other way now to contact them, and Hope they will do it this time.

How about using your ISP's email address. Many times free email services get overrun by spammers because there free and they dont keep there spam prevention methods up to date. That causes other major email sevices to block them.

Here at Fanhost we have or used to have a list of email address blocked for that reason.

There isnt much you can do about, GMX is probably the one who has to get it resolved.

well, the thing is, I can´t get this ISP address, cause my brother has that, we share the internet.

but the funny thing is, I had to reboot my computer a few time and my outlook wanted my passwort again, for whatever reason, and after that, everything seems fine again.
Hopefully it stays like that, because I asked a lot of people if they recieve my mails as spam, and they all said, they recieved them normal

very weird

but well, it seems it´s working again, hopefully it stays like that
