Text messages on a mobile Phone

well, this is not computers, but maybe someone can help me anyway.

my problem is, Iwanna send a text message to someone in canada. when I call him from my mobile to his, that works.
and when this person sends me messages I also recieve them.

but when i send him one to the same number, when I go to answering, it seems he don´t get them.

does anyone know what could be wrong? I mean I have the number code for canada and everything, and I mean I can ring him, but the messages don´t get through.

or does it just needs very long?

cause that really sucks, cause I also wanna send him messages when he sends me some

You would have to ask your mobile company. Perhaps you have the capability to receive, but not to send SMS to other countries.

yeah, I thought about doing that, but the funny thing is that I can call or ring him, that´s why I don´t understand why I can´t send sms to him

Calling him and sending him SMS messages are two different things. I had the same problem with a friend in South Africa. I could call her mobile with no problem, but I could never send her text messages but she was able to send TXT messages to me.

Trust me, it's an issue with your mobile company. Ask them about it, sure enough they'll say they don't support sending SMS to Canada but you're capable of receiving his txt msgs.

I went to the mobile shop and the guy told me it´s cause I have prepaid and they don´t have a provider over there.

but he told me I can´t either send him messsages nor call him, but we tried it, I CAN call him

But you CANT send him text messages.
