Does it restart when you are usuing any specific program, or its it just random? If it happeds with only a specific program, reinstall it. If it happends random it could be file corruption. If your running windows, put in your windows disk or restore disk (whatever came with the machine) and restart the computer, read the options and pick a fix/repair option. It will search to see if there are corrupt files and attempt to repair them. This has a better chance to work with windows XP. | |

Sometimes it'll be okay for an hour, other times it'll reset every 3 minutes. I have my XP disc, if thats what you mean, i'll try the repair thing and see how it goes, thanks. EDIT: I pressed 'R' to repair but ironically, it resets before it lets me get any further.... |

I'm doing this - http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/lofiv....php/t138.html seems to be working so far, the comp has been on a good while doing it anyway. EDIT: Good news is it seems to have stopped resetting, bad news is i need a Windows XP Serial and i'll be buggered if i know where mine is, so i've hit a rut. |

Go to Help and Support, look around and find Tools, then to My Computer Information, then View Information, in there youll find a few numbers you want the one called the PID (Product Identification Number).
