He should really owe his word, but can't really blame him, would you want your last thought as a pro to be an interception at home on the frozen tundra to a team that won the Superbowl? The Packers are still a "contender" in the NFC altho I don't see them repeating's last season's regular season.

Certainly the last thing i'm looking forward is th that freaking 'old boy populism' that extols the industrial and parochial white masculinity and "grit" at the expense of the cosmopolitanism, diversity, and finesse, that whole warrior/gunslinger american country hero s!hit needs to come to an end.

Mo....it's less about money and more he can't let go....he needs the limelight...the attention. At least that's my thought.

And Captain...Favre's skin color has nothing to do with it.....attention seeking and 'I can't let go" are common to many jocks regardless of skin color.

You'd be surprised. Favre is the conservative white sports media darling. Note that when he had the option to express some true "working class" solidarity, he stood against his teammate Javon Walker in a contract dispute with Packers management.

As for his retirement, well the ball is on his court, I could understand why he'd want to come back.
