| Lets talk baseball...... The Yank's are in last place. The Rays are in first. The Phillies are in 2nd. The Marlins are in first. ........Will the first place teams stay that good? I doubt it they seem very young Indians in first with Sox, Twins real close, will the Tigers rebound? Arizona is in 1st, they have awesome pitching and now a offense. The Cubbies are in first, is the year the cubbies finally do it? . |

| Mu nótahu ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Too early in the season to jump out to conclusions... Tampa Bay is really nice story but most of their core is way too young and even if they're at the top by the All Star break I expect them to faulter because of their inexperience. Yankees have really come out flat but there have been so many injuries(Posada, Jeter, Arod), and the Red Sox will probably also start playng better once the summer rolls around. Toronto probably has the best overall pitching in that division(Holliday, Burnett, Marcum, McGowan) but they really need another bat to really compete atleast for the wildcard. The Central Division is open. Biggest surprise is probably Cliff Lee's form which I don't think anyone really expected(4 BB's in 50 IP? An 11:1 K/BB rate? dude is pitching like a reincarnated Sandy Koufax) and if Sabathia can revert back to his CY YOUNG stuff then they'll probably win it again. West should be won by the Angels, they just got Lackey back and Santana has been pitching out of his mind. In the NL East the Marlins are also a nice story but too many holes for a long season. Mets aren't really looking that great but once the offense starts clicking they should win the division. If the Rookies are trading Holliday at the break I would probably make a move for him considering they have about 50 million coming off the books from Delgado/Pedro/Alou. Central division is probably the most interesting, I know everyone is saying Cubs, but the Astros are probably the hottest team in baseball right now. Berkman is raking and Tejada has been a great addition, if Pence can get in tune look out, still I would be worry about Oswalt being their only ace and he hasn't been exactly stellar. Diamondbacks run out with the West. Webb-Haren-Owings-Randy. Last edited by Captain Beefheart; 05-16-2008 at 02:09 PM.. |
