True Manchester dominated the first half, mainly because Avram is a moron and it took him 35 minutes to notice you just can expect to kick long balls and wait for a deflection and bank one in. Manchester had territorial posession and it's almost impossible to get in rhythm when you're just staying back and countering. When they actually pushed the lines forward they created chances and got the goal. Second half was much better for them, Cristiano totally dissapeared and Chelsea had a crossbar and a couple of other scattered dangerous plays. Great game by Lampard/Essien/Ballack and also the CB's. To be honest I don't feel sorry for Terry missing the penalty as I wasn't when Raul missed against France in the Euro's. Baggio missing against Brasil was kind of horrible tho as was Riquelme against Arsenal in the semi's of the CL. Last edited by Captain Beefheart : 05-21-2008 at 06:53 PM. |
