Twins were handcuffed by holding out the talks for so long and Humber, Gomez, Guerra and Mulvey is probably the best deal they could get. In retrospect, if Hughes really was on the table the Twins certainly blew it.

As a Met fan what can I say. F YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Omar made a big trade when he needed to while holding on to his most prized prospect. That's impressive, especially with the Twins knowing he needed to make the deal.

Well, I really disliked the Mets before.......Hate is the strong word I have for that team now!

Well for the first time ever I can say the Mets are a better team then the Yankees.

I wouldn't say we're better than the Yankees but we're building a great team from the future, highlighted by two young studs(Reyes, Wright), a bona fide ace in Santana, an exclusive network(SNY) and a also the new ballpark opening next year.

I also wonder if Santana's contract, rumored to be 6 years/$130 million by the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, will be structured like ARod's so we can have Johan pushing $25 million a season for the first 3 seasons and then bring it down to under $20 million towards the end so we can pay him the most money when he's at his peak.
