In retrospect, if Hughes really was on the table the Twins certainly blew it. As a Met fan what can I say. F YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Omar made a big trade when he needed to while holding on to his most prized prospect. That's impressive, especially with the Twins knowing he needed to make the deal. I also wonder if Santana's contract, rumored to be 6 years/$130 million by the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, will be structured like ARod's so we can have Johan pushing $25 million a season for the first 3 seasons and then bring it down to under $20 million towards the end so we can pay him the most money when he's at his peak.
