Thoughts on 1/14 Raw

I couldnt sit through all of it. I stopped in the middle of the midget match. Raw was terrible tonight. Like usual.

Should have stayed till the end...

Jeff Hardy performed a swanton off the RAW set onto Orton who was by the stage. They played it up, both men off on stretchers. However, the spot was sick! Jeff takes a huge risk two weeks in a row. Sad, this will not lead to a World Title run, but he is making RAW worth watching.

I read about it but I just couldnt take anymore. Jeff alone cant keep me sticking with raw when I have had enough :/.

yeah tell me about. raw has become a raw deal. i heard that when they go HD they will have a new look, titantron and all. guess that's why they had HHH sledge hammer the explosive fabric, projector screen thing. made me laugh when the thing started to fire up and smoke. JBL's pyros were overdone. you couldn't even see a thing afterwards, then again it was the midget match that followed so who cares about it.

jeff's swanton off that scaffold was amazing. although the camera angles they had sucked. it's obvious he didnt even land on orton but when the cam finally got up close hardy was on top of him. that one shot shows him landing hard and you can see pieces of the mat/styrofoam thing come out from him. then later you see him on top of orton. still it was insane for him to do that.

Once again Raw wasn't very good but Jeff Hardy stole the show yet again. The guy is amazing!

I wonder what "deal" Vince and Finlay have?

Jeff has proven he's worthy of the main event. I just wish the writers would help him a little bit. He's not John Cena on the mic, so at least write him some decent lines. How many times has someone said, "In two weeks, I'm taking your title, but tonight, I'm taking you OUT!"? Besides, if you take someone out, you won't be able to take their title, because...they'll be out. Think, Jeff, think!

I also thought it was funny when Lilian announced HBK's match as a Royal Rumble Qualifying Match, then when HBK came out, he said, "you know what? Let's make this a ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH!" Guess he wasn't listening.

It was more interesting with Triple Haitch (Regal owns) out of the Rumble. So, of course, he'll probably get back in, win as the Number One Entrant, eliminate the most people in the history of the business, and then retire Ric Flair.

JBL rules, but Smackdown will miss him.

Ashley looks ill. She needs to go to Smackdown when Candice comes back. The women's division is so small, you'd think it'd be easier to write stories for them, since few will get lost in the shuffle. Oh, well. As long as Mickie keeps wearing those pants...

I hope big show returns at the rumble. Hes one of my favorites.

Jeff deserves a title run, even if its for a few months.

victoria posted on her myspace that she has a new look and that she will be going after the cruiserweight championship. what? she apparantly posted this at the smackdown/ecw taping tonight. she didn't appear on the shows but she was there.

The reason why Triple H destroyed the titantron on last night’s edition of RAW is because this week was the final week for that particular RAW set. As we reported several days ago and WWE confirmed today, all three brands will be debuting new sets in preparation for their new High Definition programming next week. all new looks, same crappy programming.

Several WWE superstars went up to Jeff Hardy after last night’s edition of RAW and congratulated him on his insane Swanton onto Randy Orton. Hardy has gained a considerable amount of respect backstage as of late for all of his amazing work.

For those that have asked, there were no major legitimate injuries on last night’s edition of RAW. WWE.com did post footage from RAW after it went off the air on the official web site.

Off-Air Notes From RAW Including Dark Match & Heat Results
Umaga b. Drew McIntyre (Dark Match)
Santino Marella b. D.H. Smith (Heat)
Hacksaw & Super Crazy b. The Highlanders (Heat)
Brian Kendrick b. Charlie Haas (Heat)
Hardcore Holly b. Carlito

I'm not sure if the Holly match was for Heat or just to be having it for his hometown. I did not notice the Heat logo on the screens like the other matches had. Plus it was a complete squash.

The JBL pyro was crazy. The building did not have a fan to get rid of all of the smoke so the place was filled with smoke for the rest of the night making it hard to see but apparently it did not show on TV. *uh yes it did.**

Mae Young was recently on ClubWWI.com radio and said the following in about a promise Stephanie McMahon made her in regards to Young’s 100th birthday: "I tell you what. I have on my 100th birthday, an appointment to wrestle Stephanie McMahon's daughter, Aurora Rose and that's gonna be my opponent on my 100th birthday….Stephanie has already promised me that I can do that, so I'm gonna do that. I'll be there to do that." Stephanie McMahon’s daughter will be 17 on Mae Young’s 100th birthday, which is in 2023.
