Default Thoughts on 11/12 Raw

UNDERTAKER & BATISTA vs. CADE & MURDOCH Good opening match.Sucks it makes cade/murdoch look like tools but what can I expect from wwe.

BETH PHOENIX vs. MARIA Just a time filler again till Candice returns from the looks of it.

JEFF HARDY & MATT HARDY & REY MYSTERIO vs. FINLAY & MVP & MR. KENNEDY Watched something else

MELINA & JILLIAN HALL & LAYLA vs. MICKIE JAMES & MICHELLE McCOOL & KELLY KELLY Why have Layla and not Victoria? Seriously...match wise it was what it was.

JERRY LAWLER vs. SANTINO MARELLA Time fliller, funny stuff by Santino

TRIPLE H vs. UMAGA Good main event, dont get lumberjack matches enough.

Overall raw was much better then it had been the past few weeks. Good buildup for the PPV, which I have no desire to see.

Coach/Hornswaggle thing, what a waste.

Cant wait for TNA Impact this week

Tonight was much better than last week. Pretty good main event and it's about time Orton gets the upper hand on HBK!

Chris Jericho returns next Monday!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't get your hopes up about Jericho. They really should have incorporated the clues into the show more than they have.

Undertaker & Batista vs. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch

Pretty meh. Cade & Murdoch deserve better.

Beth Phoenix vs. Maria

Beth is going to become the John Cena of the women's division. I just wish they'd ease off on the "Glamazon" thing. It can be a nickname, but they talk about it like she's another species. JR and King never call an HBK match and say, "who can beat this...Heart Break Kid?" It's stupid.

Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, & Rey Mysterio vs. Finlay, MVP, & Mr. Kennedy

Didn't watch all of it. I don't really like 6 man tag matches, although I did like MVP avoiding fighting with Matt. It was a nice touch.

Layla, Jillian Hall, & Melina vs. Michelle McCool, Kelly Kelly, & Mickie James

Pretty much a match for eye candy. Why not use Victoria? Isn't shes feuding with McCool and/or Torrie Wilson?

Santino Marella vs. Jerry "The King" Lawler

Santino should have won. He's a great cowardly heel, but he needs to start cheating to win instead of just getting DQ'd.

Triple H vs. Umaga - Lumberjack Match

I didn't know wrestlers picked their lumberjacks. They're supposed to throw ANYONE who falls out of the ring back in. I didn't really watch it, since I knew what was going to happen.

Golden Santino Moments of RAW
  1. Coming out and cutting a promo on Austin while Maria lies on the mat in pain. "Don't worry about my Maria, she'll be fine."
  2. To JR: "I'm from Italy, so my English is not so good. You're from Oklahoma, so your English is even worse."
  3. "I'm-a gonna beat you up!" New catchphrase, for sure.
  4. "I hate you, Jerry stupid Lawler!"
  5. To Lawler: "I'm Santino Marella, and I'm-a tough! I won't be so easy, like that guy from Taxi!"

Well it did say next Monday. What more proof does one need? LOL

I still don't know why Snitsky is still in the WWE. He sucks and people just don't care about him.

i really wish they would release snitsky. i'm barely watching the start of the main event on raw. had to record cuz of work. so far it's been an ok raw, but i can't wait to see jericho next week. wont bother with survivor series. i'll just check out what happened on the wwe website.

stuff

Partial source: Wrestling Observer

- Danny sent the following: I was just watching the CNN special Death Grip, and it appears they have gone and edited the special to include John Cena now responding to the question if he did take steroids, saying 'Absolutely Not'. It was about a 5 second edit of the show, with the rest of Cena segment airing as it did on its first run.

looks like the wwe is still hiring diva search contestants that lose. why? they just hired Lena Yada who finished in third in the diva search 2007 competition.

Apparently WWE is redesigning the Diva pages on the official web site and that is why they have removed the content. This caused quite the stir over the weekend but do not worry, all of the divas are still employed by WWE.

It is interesting to note that WWEShop.com has put several Carlito items on clearance. The company usually places merchandise on clearance once a superstar is no longer with the company or suffers an injury that is going to keep them out for an extended amount of time.

To further speculation that Carlito’s days in WWE could be numbered, he worked the SmackDown/ECW tour in Puerto Rico last week because it is his home country; however, he jobbed to Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio in two shows on the tour. The fans were said to be very upset with the booking.

As we have been reporting, Carlito is unhappy with his character in WWE and the lack of push that he has been receiving. There have even been rumors that he has requested his release from the company. Obviously his release has not been granted but it could be in the very near future.

Scheduled for Friday Night SmackDown is Batista vs. Mark Henry and The Hardy Boys will be reuniting on SmackDown facing Finlay and Mr. Kennedy. The SmackDown preview is also hyping the feud between Batista and Undertaker and the Rey Mysterio/Finlay feud.

ECW on Sci Fi will be based on WWE SmackDown stars. The main event for the show is Kane and Rey Mysterio vs. Fit Finlay and Big Daddy V. The ECW preview also hypes the CM Punk, John Morrison and The Miz storyline and the Kelly Kelly/Balls Mahoney/Miz/Layla storyline.

I think Edge is returning AT Survivor Series. He's in the commercials, at least.

I actually didn't see the Save_Us promo on Monday. LOL. Where is RAW going to be held? It better be a pro-Jericho city, otherwise his return is going to suck, and it's back to low midcard hell for him.

Maybe they figured since everyone already knew about it there was no point. However is there any chance that mag could be a fake?

edge will return at survivor series. there was talk about jericho showing up there but they decided not to cuz they don't want to overshadow edge's return. so now in those save us promos, they're ending with "next monday". so someone major is going to showup next monday. it's jericho. the promo also showed up, interrupting tazz and what's his name and it also said "next monday".

stuff

WWE has confirmed the return of Chris Jericho before it actually happened. The latest issue of WWE Magazine features Chris Jericho on the cover with the tag line “Chris Jericho: The real story behind Y2J’s shocking return”. On the cover photo Jericho is shown plugging in two power cables. The magazine will hit newsstands later next week.

As we have been reporting for over a week, WWE decided to go forward with plans to bring Jericho back on the November 19th edition of RAW (one night after Survivor Series). This became pretty clear during the Save_Us videos that aired on WWE television last night as the videos all but confirmed Jericho was coming to RAW next Monday.

We have obtained a photo of the latest WWE Magazine cover featuring Chris Jericho.

what you didn't see on raw
Heat taping

Jim Duggan beat OVW's Atlas Debone

Super Crazy beat OVW's Charles Evans. Before the match Evans did a promo that no one cared about Snitsky beat Carlito

Hardcore Holly and Cody Rhodes beat The Highlanders and London and Kendrick in a horrible match

There was WGTT match in here at one point against two jobbers not sure where it was though. Sorry.

During Heat and a little bit throughout Raw Ron Simmons was walking through the audience and drew a huge crowd I got a picture with him and an autograph. Truly great guy

Raw:

Biggest pop all night went 'Taker. Not sure how it came off on TV but everyone was shocked that to see two SD guys were there. Especially the two biggest names.

Triple threat Tag : Jeff Hardy got a huge pop. Seems the crowd loves Hardy and Vince really tries to put him over in Topeka. (Won the IC title the last time they were in town)

Beth Phoenix vs. Maria: Not much to say about this one. Basically the bathroom and merchandise break of the show.

6 Diva Match: Extended bathroom break. With 6 men in one match and 6 women in another it seemed like they wanted to put everyone on the show.

Lawler vs. Santino: Santino had the biggest heat of the night. The guy can not cut a promo and he may be even worse in the ring. King got a huge ovation. Once again it seemed like they ran the same show as the last time Raw was there. Bringing in a legend. (Last time Sgt. Slaughter beat the Spirit Squad)

Main Event: Crowd was hoping for solo entrances because everyone wanted to see Kane's entrance. Good match enjoyed by all. Crowd was mad that it wasn’t Kennedy as advertised.

No post show dark match because Umaga was hurt it was supposed to be DX vs. Orton/Umaga. They threw up the X so it seemed to be extremely legit but I wasn’t close enough to see what he hurt. After he was taken to the back the faces all posed for awhile. Funny story of the night as they all left one by one Kane was trying to set off his ring pyro and it didn’t go off. The pyro and lights guys must have packed up early. He seemed truly mad by this.

Due to the writers' striker in Hollywood, there has been talk that NBC would approach WWE about holding some extra Saturday Night's Main Event programs. New episodes of Saturday Night Live halted as soon as the writer's strike went into effect because they write material up until the day of the show. The Rock was scheduled to appear on the 11/3 show, but it had to be cancelled due to the strike.

As many of you all know, the latest Save_Us video aired on Raw last night and practically outright said Chris Jericho was debuting next week. It said 6_DAYS, 23 HOURS, AND 33 MINUTES - which aired at 9:55 p.m., meaning he's scheduled to show up 27 minutes short of a full 24 hours from that moment, which would mean 9:28 p.m. next Monday night.

I can't stand the "Glamazon" thingy Its getting annoying & her match V Maria was just a waste of time...

Santino is gold & they should really let him win matches & not always the joke of things...

Did that person say Santino can NOT cut a promo? That's truly insane. He's probably in the Top 5 of the entire company, which, in no particular order, would be:

1. JBL
2. John Cena
3. Santino Marella
4. Triple H
5. Chris Jericho

Can you imagine a Kennedy/Jericho fued? The promos alone would be great!

I can't believe people are actually concerned with him having short hair. What does it matter that he has short hair? LOL

yeah they said santino couldn't do a good promo. guess that person just doesn't like him.

more stuff

Sean Waltman (formally X-Pac in WWE) is currently working for AAA pro wrestling. Waltman has been coming out to the Degeneration X theme music on their weekly television show on Galavision. ***i have seen this. the first time i heard that music i thought something was wrong. sure enough there was xpac***

Chris Jericho recently commented on Bubba the Love Sponge Sirius Radio Show saying that TNA's offer was cheap. He also told Bubba that he has not signed a contract with WWE but did admit to going back for multiple interviews.

this came from jim ross' blog and i would have to agree with the last sentence.
Morrison, Punk and Miz are all in the same basic standing, in my perspective, in that they are all young and should keep improving, and none are close to peaking. Punk has more in-ring experience, I would surmise, so the ECW Champion might be leading his peers by a nose. Most weeks I really enjoy ECW as they feature more wrestling in their one hour show than most hours of wrestling on TV.

up to this point its still not confirmed that edge will be at survivor series. just because he's in the promos, it does not mean he'll be there. rey mysterio was featured in promos for the great american bash and he didn't return until summerslam. also the poster on the wwe site no longer has edge in it. so it's still not sure.

The Miami Herald is currently running an article on WWE superstar John Cena. In the feature, Cena expresses his desire to get back into the ring and how his rehabilitation is running ahead of schedule. ''I've got about five more months of rehab until I can get back into the ring,'' the former WWE Champion told the publication. ''It sucks being away,'' he continued. “`I've been going six to seven days a week, that routine for about six years, and have stayed relatively injury free. There was no sign of a letdown with my work schedule. I was doing my best work, attendance wise, pay-per-view wise. I still felt strong, and I had more to do. It was just a freak accident. I never wished it happen to take off time, but it teaches you to appreciate more what you have.” Cena also talks about his father, his professional wrestling roots, and working with several WWE legends.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that there was an incident backstage at last night’s SmackDown/ECW tapings in Wichita, Kansas. According to Meltzer, JBL ripped on The Miz and John Morrison for their commentary during the CM Punk vs. Jamie Noble match. JBL felt like they went over the top with their comments against Punk and instead of disrespecting Punk the character, they were disrespecting Punk the wrestler. He was also upset for their ring work earlier in the night with Matt Hardy and MVP, saying that they worked to sloppy.

JBL ordered that both men apologize to Punk, Hardy, and MVP for making them look bad. Miz did as he was told but Morrison told JBL that it was none of his business, however, ended up apologizing anyway. The incident between JBL and Morrison began to get heated when it was broken up by several people backstage.

Who gave JBL the right to police everyone? I have to agree with Morrison on this one, it's none of his business.

By the way I don't think anyone has said this but word is that Kevin Thorn is in trouble for bothing a move on a recent ECW show. Thats why he hasn't been seen. My question is why is he in trouble? Every wrestler has botched a move before. It happens from time to time.

They say Thorn has a bad attitude also. Ive always liked Thorn and your right, nearly all wrestlers botch moves. They're only human.

As for JBL it always seems like he comes across like a big shot. I enjoy his commentary but as a person he seems like a ****. Being a Bush supporter I am not surprised.
