Default Thoughts on 9/24 Raw

CODY RHODES vs. HARDCORE HOLLY Wow surprised Holly was on. Last I read his career was over. I dont care eitherway. Think it sucks he beat Rhodes.

SANTINO MARELLA vs. RON SIMMONS I miss Simmons in the ring, good to see him again. Seems this feud will continue. Maria looked like the biggest slut to walk the earth tonight, yuck.

TRIPLE H vs. VINCE MCMAHON & CARLITO Ok tv match, feel bad for Carlito being the punching bag as usual.

CADE & MURDOCH vs. KENDRICK & LONDON Not much since most of it was during the commercials

JEFF HARDY & CANDICE MICHELLE vs. SHELTON BENJAMIN & BETH PHOENIX Good tv match again. I like Beth, reminds me of Molly and Candice is great.

Overall raw was WAY better then last weeks. Matches were actually entertaining. I still dont like the Hornswaggle stuff but whatever.

For me the only interesting part of Raw was about 5 seconds. Did you see right after coach finished talking to those reporters a black screen came up with a bunch of letters and numbers running across. People are thinking that this could be about the return of Y2J. If you remember when he first came to the WWE he had the countdown clock and those things. He also said that he was "the savior of the WWF".

Part of the promo said "save us 2.2.2.

Very interesting.

it was a matrix like effect but blue instead of green right? when i saw that i was wondering what it could be? rumors say that if Y2J were to return it might be in november.

also in case anyone was wondering where randy orton was since he didn't attend house shows this past weekend and he wasn't on raw either. it was cuz he got married this weekend and has been given some time off.

Overall, RAW was pretty good. They made good use of backstage segments and didn't overdo it for once. The Hornswoggle stuff was actually funny. What an excitable little perv, that leprechaun.

Cody Rhodes vs. Hardcore Holly

Cody could use a feud to get him established. I wouldn't pick Hardcore Holly, but I guess they want another "rookie proves himself against a veteran" story.

Santino Marella vs. Ron Simmons

Santino is one of the most entertaining heels to come along in a long time. He's just such an annoying ****, it's hilarious. His review of "The Condemned" was funny as hell.

Oh, and Maria > naysayers in this thread

Triple H vs. Carlito & Vince McMahon

No. Just...no. How many guys is Triple H going to bury?

Cade & Murdoch vs. London & Kendrick

Good stuff. I love how Cade and Murdoch are all polite until it gets time to win. London and Kendrick never disappoint. Heelanders? Awesome.

Jeff Hardy & Candice Michelle vs. Shelton Benjamin & Beth Pheonix

Three good wrestlers and Shelton make this the best match of the night. Candice has really made terrific strides to becoming a wrestler. Her feud with Beth could really be something good if they actually make it a story, which they seem to be. The most shocking is that they're not making it a typical catfight that's all about jealousy over hair or something.

Cena's Championship Surrender Ceremony

Meh. The best part was when "Mr. McMahon" overruled Coach.

I really hope that little vignette was the return of Jericho. How many signs out there have said, "save us Y2J"? Too many. I know that "creative" is a bunch of douchebags, but they couldn't come up with a more perfect way to bring him back. Let him be the heel he was in WCW and he'll be the biggest thing in the company.

Maybe we need some "save us Ralphus" signs?

I don't think so because if it were they would have just said Cyber Sunday. There are way to many parts of it that match up to Y2J. Also if you listen closely you can hear the words "I'm back".

I just watched it again. Oct. 7 seemed like an important date, but that's a Sunday I think, so it may be Cyber Sunday, unless it's later in the month.

I dont think she is hot at all, she has no butt whatsoever. Her character is amusing at times and she is better in the ring then ashley, but thats it.

someone on a wrestling board found this. looks like someone tried to make some meaning to what's in that promo. man if this turns out to be a cyber sunday promo. ugh. also there could be hints in jericho's book signing schedule that he just might be returning to raw. he's not scheduled to sign any books on monday's but every other day he is.

the video is part of plan that started some time back to do cyptic ads that could have involved either the return of jericho or the debut of the new hart foundation. although it seems more and more likely it could be jericho.

- Save_Us.222: Joshua 2:2 verse 2 "It was told the king of Jericho, saying, "Behold, men from the sons of Israel have come here tonight to search out the land."

- CHAMP_HARD: Jericho was a former WWE Hardcore Champion

- SMACK_BROUGHT1: Jericho was on SmackDown and on his debut, he brought the "smack" to The Rock. Also, remember back when Jericho interviewed the #1 Draft Pick from SD!, John Cena. Jericho was also brought over from RAW to SmackDown.

- CD_VOLUME4_1: This might be the most significant clue, as Jericho's theme Break The Walls Down was the first track on the 4th WWE Music CD

- WM00_MATCH and WM_MATCH_TRI: Jericho wrestled Benoit and Angle in the Triple Threat Match at WM

- LIVEWIRE: A song by Jericho's band, Fozzy, also an old show, WWE Livewire

- TALENT_PRE: Obvious, Jericho was a former WWE talent

- JVC_FIX: A former WWE sponsor

- PROMO_99: Jericho's WWE debut came in 1999 and he cut that infamous promo on The Rock

- 7_OCT: WWE's No Mercy PPV in October

- RAW_DOUBLE_FIN and RAW_REV: A possible reference to the match against Triple H on RAW which Jericho had won, or so we thought, only to see Triple H void the title change. Also, Jericho and Chyna both won the WWE IC Title on a double pin.

- RAW_REV_MAY2.action: Jericho defeated Benoit for the WWE IC Title on May 2, 2000

- BIG_SHOW: Jericho defeated Big Show for the Hardcore title in 2001.

- RAW_WAR_BUMPER: RAW is WAR was the catchphrase back when Y2J was around, and he often "bumped" the phrase around to say RAW is Jericho

- DISP_CHAMP: A possible reference to Jericho's reign as WWE Undisputed Champion

- giga/flame_5.0.7OCT/action: WWE No Mercy starts at 5:00PM on October 7th

It's Jericho because there's just to many clues for it not to be him.

More then likely its him. I am pretty excited by it if it is. I really hope wwe doesnt make him a screw up like Booker. Jericho can be just as big as HHH/Cena if booked right.

I already will be meeting Jericho in Nov. for his book signing

There were rumors that WWE offered him a high six-to-low-seven figure contract for him to return. Don't know if that was squashed or not, but if he does return, he NEEDS to be in the main event and just let him do his thing. By the time he left, he was so watered down that anyone who watched could tell he was just bored and going through the motions.

He needs to return and feud with Triple H, HBK, Randy Orton, and Cena, winning the title somewhere in the process after turning heel.

I wish "Creative" could put this much thought into all their storylines.

If they did all three shows would be must see tv. If it's Y2J then he needs to come back as a face. I can only imagine the pop he will get when he returns!

It appears(hopefully) that the WWE not only have signed him but have started airing promos before we(the public) even knew he was signed. You have to give them a thumbs up for that.
