Default Thoughts on 9/17 Raw

Saw it all till the last 5 minutes, it stunk. How wwe puts out this crap for its "flagship" show is beyond me.

its no wonder that at unforgiven yesterday no one cared for any of the matches that raw offered. all the pops were for the smackdown and ecw matches. the matches with rey mysterio, cm punk and undertaker were the only ones that people were there to see. anyone see the sign up in the audience on raw tonight? it said "save us Y2J" i totally agree.

Yup I caught it. I nodded my head when I read it.

Only good matches was the womens match & hardy/shelton but the rest of the show stunk.

I really enjoyed that Hardy/Shelton match. I would like to see those two in a fued because they could put on some great matches. The rest of the show did suck.

I loved the part at the end when the fans were chanting "You can't wrestle" at John Cena

I read that happened, other then that it didnt look like I missed much as far as the end. Predictable.

i was wondering at first who the audience was yelling "you can't wrestle" to. mainly cuz i wasn't paying attention. i was playing evil dead regeneration on the other tube and would take glances at the match. of course when i saw cena's huge face i realized it was directed at him.

I don't get why all this criticism is being leveled at John Cena. It's not his fault he's had such a long title reign, it's the writers for not building up any stars other than him. Triple H single-handedly burying the tag division doesn't help, either. Other than Randy Orton, there's no other wrestler on RAW who can be seen as a credible threat to Cena.

I'm also getting tired of the "you can't wrestle" comments. Mainly because, uh...yeah, he can. Fans may be getting tired of the superman push and lame promos, but again, he's not writing it or booking it. He's really one of the best all-around talents in the company, and definitely the hardest worker.

So, until WWE can expand their thinking beyond cheapsauce and Vince siring leprechauns, you're gonna have Super Cena as champ.

I agree that Cena is one of the hardest workers in the company. However when it comes to in ring skills he's not nearly as good as Orton, Triple H, HBK or several others. I still believe they should turn HHH heel and have him go after Cena and this time not make him job to Superman.

Things are not looking up for WWE as this past Monday’s edition of RAW only did a 3.3 cable rating. That number is way down from last week’s 3.9 which was helped with the announcement of Vince McMahon’s bastard son. The first hour did a 3.2 with the second hour doing a 3.5.

There should definitely be some concern backstage in WWE with the number as the show was after a pay-per-view. Shows after pay-per-views usually do higher ratings because people that didn’t order the PPV usually tune in to find out what happened.

The rating did not come without competition as Monday Night Football on ESPN which featured the Washington Redskins at Philadelphia Eagles did a 9.1 cable rating.

Bad times. If only I could get those 5 years out of my head. I wouldn't mind Cena as champion for a few years. Doesn't bother me. Khali on the other hand...I don't get to see Raw until Saturday/Sunday so I can't comment on it.

I can't put all the blame on Cena still being champ(believe me I would like to) but it is part of the reason. People don't care about wathcing anymore because they already know he gonna win. They have got to do something to get the ratings up. When Kennedy comes back and it's announced that he is indeed the son(hopefully) that will make things more intresting.

They need to just drop the whole "bastard child" storyline. Honestly, how is that going to push Kennedy? He'll just repeat two names instead of one. He'll still be boring.

Just chalk up Hornswoggle's paternity to yet another DX prank, turn HBK heel upon his return, and leave it at that.

leading up to kennedy's return, they'll be doing comedy bits with vince and hornswaggle. i think after that kennedy will be revealed to be his son and hornswaggle was just after vince's money to add it to his pot of gold. as for cena, i think he has like the same 5 moves. he uses the same ones in every match.

and on tuesday night after watching ecw i thought that for a one hour show it was better than anything that was on raw. i'm hoping smackdown doesn't dissapoint like last week.
