Guess i'm abit late for registration which is sad because this year I can actually follow the Premier, with TVE/FSC coverage.

One thing that really struck me is how clustered the schedule is, only one week gone by and teams have already played 3 league games? And that's not even counting FA/Carling Cup and CL fixtures.

And on the note of parity which is the only thing that would separate La Liga from the EPL, it seems there's actually going to be a race this year(not just a two horse race between Manchester/Chelsea), and the mid level teams aren't going to give up so easily.

I'm impressed with Fernando's change of pace moreso than his definition which he has been largely critisized for. Maybe the EPL just fits him better, because the rhythm/pace of the game is taylormade to his attributes, much more so than la liga.

It was a mirage all around. Arsenal pretty much had secured 3 points and Jens gave it away on a fumble. Manchester dominates the possesion game, can't find a way to finish and City scores on the only clear chance they had off a deflection.

And what's the word on Alves. Is Roman going to open the cashbook because honestly Ferreira doesn't cut it for a team like Chelsea and playing Essien as a RB is a waste.

Coincidentally Graham was doing commentary for BBC I believe, or on a chat transcript, not sure.

It's not only the penalty that bothers me so much, because on the replay it's clear Malouda falls and there's sum contact after from Finnan so it's open to interpretation not to mention the margin of human error, but the way he was handling cards left and right, that's probably the worse refereeing i've seen since Holland vs. Portugal at the World Cup.

If you're a Liverpool fan obviously you aren't happy with the result after obliterating Chelsea in the first half, but so far the new signings have played well(especially Voronin). If you're a Chelsea fan I'd be worried. Pessimistic as it may sound, their game has de-evolutionized from their previous seasons, they don't really have a clear philosophy on attack, and what once was consider a solid defensive block looks to be very vulnerable early on.

As for the ref rob styles he lost control the game way b4 the pen he couldn't handle the pace so he tried to slow it down.
AS for being a Liverpool fan yea i'm happy so-far with the new signings
Torres looks good & like you said Voronin toh it's weird he never got a start last night im so over Kuyt...

A week to late...
Rob Styles has been dropped from next weekend's Barclays Premier League refereeing list after his penalty blunder at Anfield on Sunday.
Styles has admitted he made an error in awarding Chelsea a second half penalty which allowed them to draw level after Fernando Torres had given Liverpool the lead.

Referees chief Keith Hackett has now confirmed Styles will be given next weekend off following the fall out from the controversial decision
