| Ecuador - Germany. the ecuadorians have been playing some great football and the germans didn't exactly convince last game. I think it'll be a draw. 1-1. Costa Rica - Poland. very uninteresting game. I think Poland will take their first win here tho. 2-0. Paraguay - Trinidad & Tobago. Trinidad have been playing great defense(with alotta luck) against sweden and england but I think their luck runs out with this game. 3-0 Paraguay. Sweden - England. oh boy I can't wait for this game. however, I think the spell will be broken and England will finally beat sweden this time. I say 2-1 England. Still Sweden and England advances. |

But at least we still finish top and get Ecuador instead of Germany, although i'll miss the 1st half because its on Sunday and i shall be at work arg! Joe Cole's goal though, a little beauty, you have to agree. |

He calls them like he sees them regardless of semantics. It was a nail bitter indeed, probably the best match so far(much better than USA/Italy). After the 2-1 I thought it was over, the nail in the cuffin for the swede's, not because of the result but the morale would be down for the round of 16. Cole with the GoLAZO and the cross volley for Gerrard's header. CO-MOM's, because Gerrard did save a shot Robinson wouldn't have gotten to. Abit off topic but is it me or does England, Brasil and Argentina have the most mediocre GK's of the tourney? None of them seem to inspire much confidence. Larsson, I mean what can you say that hasn't been said before. Right place at the right time. Matchpoint, Woody Allen, luck is on his side, yes it is. |

| Sweden, it's a mental thing I think. Deutschland-Polish just too perfekt for the Ecuador. Dida is the best penalty stopping GK in the world. Bar none. A very decent keeper, but any GK would look dodgy when left exposed all the time, as is the case with Brazil. |

| Owen out til mid autumn. A case could be made that for England, the loss of Owen isnt a bad thing. He doesnt seem to have improved his technique since he was 20, only now he's slower. He wont make runs for the team, doesnt seem to comprehend the term "strike partnership", cant take people on, has got a woeful first touch, hasnt got much of a shot on him and seems absolutely unable to take construtive criticism without deflecting it onto everyone and everything around him. That case COULD be made.. were it not for the fact that we now only have 2 match fit strikers- a 17 year old who's never even played a premier league game and.. Peter Crouch. ...44 years of hurt... | I'd play Shrek upfront with Stevie G in the hole, Fat Frank in the middle with Becks and Chav Cole. GK: Robinson Spud Muppet LB: Cashley CB: Terry CB: Wonkey Lipped C*** RB: Neville The Bolshevik or Carragher DHCM: Hargreaves RM: Becks CM: Fat Frank LM: Chav Cole ACM: Stevie G CF: Shrek Gerrard and Shrek, with this ball, should be allowed to shoot as often as possible. |
