Seriously.. I can't believe this guy refused to give an interracial couple a marriage license. I mean it's hard to believe the denial of a marriage license is even legally possible. It's from a documentary called The Black List Vol. 2. Saw it a few weeks ago at a friends house and loved it. I would definitely recommend checking it out, I'm pretty sure my friend picked it up at Target. I didn't see the first one tho so i might have to check that out too!

He said he was doing this because he was concerned about interracial offspring. That is very warped, and not his determination to make, but it falls quite short of racism. I hear a lot of people using the word "racism" these days, but see very little evidence of much. It has gotten to the point where threads like this are quite laughable.

The man had no right to turn down anyone who had the legal right to wed in that state, and obviously had some warped idea as to what his role should be. This person should not be working with the general public, but nothing of what he said was "racist" by definition. I grew up in an racially integrated area of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and it's a politically liberal area, and mixed race kids were treated badly by many white and blacks.

For this man to use that as a reason not to wed couples is bizarre, but if he is being honest about his motivations, it was not stemming from "racism", but from a warped sense of entitlement.
