English lovers came second because they were too lazy, while men from Sweden were branded "too quick" and came third. Spanish men topped the table as the best lovers, followed by Brazilians and Italians. The poll, carried out by www.OnePoll.com, asked women from 20 countries to rate nations on their ability in bed and give reasons for their answers. Other findings included that Dutch men were "too rough", Americans were "too dominating" while Greek men were said to be a bit too soppy. Other countries who didn't fare well in the poll were Scotland (too loud), Turkey (too sweaty) and Wales (too selfish). Russian men crept in at tenth place amid accusations they were too hairy for the average woman. A spokesperson for www.OnePoll.com added: "These results are an eye-opener for thousands of men around the world and female travellers might judge potential new lovers by looking at these results." | Get some! ![]() ![]() ![]() | Typical. You gotta learn how to stimulate a woman not only physically, but mentally and spiritually. And colognes can backfire on a guy. Some are just too pungent you'll make them gag. I prefer --:x ..can't give away my secret. ![]() Last edited by FireBird; 09-30-2009 at 02:54 AM.. Reason: trade secret |

i don't wear cologne, i just wash up via natural soaps and some natural lotion to accommodate my natural scent. men (not all) are selfish when having sex... i only equate my own experience which is the woman comes first as if she is enjoying it, i will enjoy it even more. aside from that i like to last as long as i can. i try to enjoy every part instead of rushing in like some petulant child needing to have his fix. i don't disagree with the poll. i actually think it is quite accurate. my Spanish friend gave me a few good tips and it greatly improved my sex life and enjoyment. | Me gustas tú... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've seen enough Germans who actually do not look like the lads in the pic above, i.e. outside Bavaria. I think those polls are ridiculous. Maybe they dated etc. one bloke from a particular country and then, they generalise it so that every man of that country has this particular 'trait'. Another possibility could be selective cognition. But well, I am not a psychologist and this would lead me too far now. To cut a long story short: I do not dig polls because they only show tendencies, but barely facts. ![]() Last edited by muse; 10-05-2009 at 08:38 AM.. |

| Senior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | You can distinguish between lots of stuff like results, methodology, how much a result undetermines a theory ect The results will show many times more difference along the length of each category's distribution curve, than between the different curves. The categories are not very interesting. People get obsessed with differences between countries because nationality is part of their stupid self-conception The poll methology is good if you want to pick up a difference in the way people in different cultures rate things in polls. There were studies on how english people rate the same bad restaurants high compared to people in other places. The results endlessly underdetermine our theories. Are german women frigid? Do german women have a better sense of smell? Turkish men sweat - does this imply that turkey is a warm country? Swedish men are too quick? is this is a compliment to swedish women? ect ect |

| Senior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It's not exactly lack of input, it's the underdetermination of input to output. The article says "american men are too dominating" . Does this mean they have too much testosterone, or that women in america have too much testosterone? ect ect Last edited by Moshe..; 10-10-2009 at 04:04 PM.. |

It was a phonetic adaptation from heraclitus's weird dialect? The aphorism of hericlitus "you never step into the same river" makes a famous sound in its obscure ionic [hetera kai hetera] hundata epirrai (I don't understand the ionic but it sounds beautiful) The aphorisms were always more famous for the beautiful sounds than for their meaning. The romans always steal beautiful things without understanding. (The athenians also took up the plural nominative). But therefore the romans' singular nominative form - ceterum - first came from a plural? Yet the point of hericlitus's rhyme is that the plural can never be made singular? Some kind of philological joke on the romans Last edited by Moshe..; 10-11-2009 at 09:19 AM.. | |

| Senior Member ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | that was a wrong spelling, but I was wondering if the phrase came from heraclitus it would be ironic the way they turned it into a singular ect. The romans showed their disinterest in philosophy in their grammer? I don't know if it's true, it must be from ionia anyway - Last edited by Moshe..; 10-11-2009 at 09:24 AM.. |
