The theoretical ideology known as communism is a socioeconomic structure that promotes the establishment of a classless, stateless society based on common ownership of the means of production. Utopia is a term for an ideal society. The term was taken from a fictional island in the Atlantic Ocean, written about by Sir Thomas More as the fictional character Raphael Hythloday, as possessing a perfect socio-politico-legal system.
As a theoretical ideology, communism would be close to being utopian, however, as history has shown, practical communism is far from utopian.

Even the most idealized notion of Communism sounds like hell to me, since it is incompatible with the inevitable human pursuit of self-interest.
