Default Patrick Swayze Has Cancer

Writing by Dave on Wednesday, 5 March, 2008 at 4:08 pm

Oh man. Score one for the National Enquirer, I guess.

The official statement was handed down from his agent today and the diagnosis isn’t good, but sunnier than the National Enquirer made it out to be:
“Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. Patrick’s physician Dr. George Fisher states, ‘Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.’ Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family.”
All cancer is very serious, so we hope Patrick Swayze’s treatment goes well. While we apologize for fostering the rumor about his plastic surgery earlier today, we’re happy we could add to the legions who think he has OK hair.

Now, when we watch Ghost and cry, we can tell whoever sees us that it if for Patrick Swayze.

I don't know how people deal when they are given news like this. I mean if someone told me I had a month to live....what would I do...where would I start... who would I make amends to and who would I hold close to me? What unfinished business would I finish? How do you start planning the end of your life? Would you want to know???

He always seemed like such a genuine and sensitive person, I remember hearing him talk about his dad who had passed away, and it brought me to tears.

My heart goes out to him and his entire family.

Well said but let's hope treatment is successful. Good luck.
