On This Day Poll

Due to some objections raised to this series of posts, the time needed to compile the lists each day, and what seems to be a waning of interest in these posts, I have decided to elicit the reader's opinion in the form of a poll as to whether these posts should continue for the originally intended full year (July 17, 2008) or be terminated. The poll is not anonymous. Those who desire to express their choice should have the courage of their convictions. By the way, I sought and received the approval of the forum moderator some time ago for these posts. The poll will close in one week; the majority rules.

I'm saying yes, though I admit I don't read them EVERY day, I like to check them out now and then and without them sometimes weeks go by with nothing being posted here in this forum.

Why not combine a week's worth so there's only 1 thread instead of 7, would that help?

What do you want me to do, Jo, discontinue the series? That is what the poll was for, to express your preference. Combining seven days worth into one post involves too much editing time.

It would seem like the same amount of "work" but it really doesn't worry me either way.

It concentrates it instead of spreading it out. I can do it on weekends because I have more time then, but during the week, time is at a premium and there is some research involved; I don't do all of this from memory. Anyway, the people have spoken - all three of them. If management wants to overrule me, that is fine. It is their perogative. Until that happens . . .
