Lightbulb Cooking is dope. Buy or Sell.

I keep hearing from people, "Oh jeez, I can't cook anything besides pop-tarts." I remember in home-ec class in middle school, people would burn the simplest cookies, ones that would only take ten or twelve minutes in the oven. Do you have any trouble like that?

I love the speed and multitasking, the judgement calls and sudden inspiriations that turn it from a methodical process to an art. Mostly I WUV eating. If i'm cooking for more than a couple of hours, sometimes I loose my appetite from sampling (and snacking) so much along the way, but I always have room for at least a taste of each dish.

For all you single guys learn how to cook at least a couple nice meals, the ladies like it if you can cook. And if they can't cook they can clean the dishes like my girl, it's a perfect arrangement.

PS: I'm addicted to drinking marinated sea food. And if you're picturing me in this very old adobe kitchen cooking burritos with a victorian musket costume you're not far from reality. HA!

I do all the cooking, pretty much due to my wife becoming lazy. If I don't cook, she don't eat. On nights I'm not home for dinner she eats cookies.

We never had that.

Ok, that can never hurt.

Oh, that too. I was more thinking of the whole avoid starvation thing.

However I find that effort to cook a meal and tastiness aren't really correlated. This let to the fact that I've been only interested in preparation of food that is both very easy to do (level 2 - level 1 being putting a deep fried pizza in the oven). I don't like food that causes lots of pots and pans to get dirty during preparation.

And if they can't cook they can clean the dishes
I actually don't mind cleaning the dishes, or can't stand having heaps of dirty dishes standing around respectively.

I can cook a few good things, but I dont do it all that often. Its a lot more work then its worth sometimes to cook something big, and then theres the cleaning of all the pots and pans it creates. Steak, hamburgers, a few types of pasta's are easy but I dont eat steak all that often. I rarely cook anything complicated or time consuming.

It really isnt cheaper for things that require you to buy a lot of ingredients because many things go bad before your going to use them again.

That smacks of a poor excuse not to cook or an excuse for poor shopping. There's more to this grocery shopping than you might think!

But Beef's right; a man that can cook will never... go hungry. Or be short of company.
